U.S. Shipping provides long-haul marine transportation of petroleum products, petroleum, petrochemicals, and commodity chemicals in the U.S. coastwise trade, operating under the Jones Act.
With a fleet of six U.S. flagged vessels — one oil carrier, one chemical carrier, and four articulated tug barges (ATB), we serve the U.S. East and Gulf Coasts and Puerto Rico with capabilities to service routes to the Caribbean, the U.S. West Coast, and Hawaii.
Every vessel in the U.S. Shipping fleet is equipped with the latest, most sophisticated navigation and cargo management technologies, has a hull engineered to provide extensive cargo flexibility, and offers heating and cleaning capabilities.
Our state-of-the-art ATB fleet features double-hull tank barges capable of carrying crude oil, residual fuel, refined petroleum products, and chemicals. ATBs provide significant advantages over towed barges, including improved safety, speed, fuel efficiency, and maneuverability. Their ability to access small berths provides shippers maximum logistical flexibility.
At U.S. Shipping, the safety of our crews and our customers’ cargoes and protection of the environment are our highest priorities, and our commitment to quality throughout every aspect of our operations is unwavering.
